2. Data we process
Enquiries: when you send an enquiry or a message, we receive the details you enter — name, email address, country, preferred path, season and number of guests, and your message.
Analytics: we measure page views and navigation with PostHog (EU region). It runs without cookies or similar browser storage. Technical data such as browser type, device type and an approximate region derived from your IP address may be processed. Form inputs are never captured.
Server logs: our hosting provider processes technical access data (such as IP address and time of access) to deliver and secure the website.
3. Purposes and legal bases
To answer your enquiry and prepare a journey with you — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract).
To understand how the website is used and improve it — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a well-functioning website, using cookieless measurement).
To operate and secure the website — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Hosomichi is operated from Japan, a country for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision. Where providers process data in the United States, the transfer takes place in accordance with Chapter V GDPR.
6. Retention
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any journey that follows from it, and thereafter only where the law requires us to retain it.
7. Cookies
This website sets no cookies for analytics or advertising and uses no advertising trackers.
8. Your rights
